Churches and Their Bells

A short clip from a series on Churches and Bells. This sequence was shot at St.Mary’s Church, Henlow, in Bedfordshire. This was the church in which Mistress Tilley was baptised. She later sailed on the Mayflower to America and the event is commemorated in the church. The filming and recording of bells is not easy to achieve. They are located in awkward places and their sound levels are very inconsistent. But we seemed to achieve a good result.
